“I wanted to be like the Amy Grant of music, but it didn’t work out, so I sold my soul to the devil.”
— Katy Perry
Sounds familiar.
If you’ve ever felt the pull to be someone else — if you’ve ever chased a dream, watched it collapse, and tasted the darkness of your own choices — then you already understand why I feel called to reach out to Katy with this gift of love and prayer. This project isn’t about celebrity; it’s about mercy. It’s about the moment when someone who thinks they’ve gone too far hears that they’re still wanted. The rosary I’m offering is a sign of that truth — that the ones who believe they’ve “sold themselves to the darkness” are the very ones Christ runs toward first. Details below.
Genuine Natural Denim Blue Sponge Coral Beads (12mm)
Bronze Antique Replica Miraculous Medal Center & Crucifix
Plum Purple Microfiber Jewelry Box
Denim‑blue coral is ideal for this rosary because blue has long symbolized heaven, fidelity, and the contemplative calm of God’s presence, echoing Mary’s mantle and the sky that shelters creation. The coral, once alive, carries the ancient Christian meanings of protection, transformation, and the Church as a living body shaped by resurrection. Together, they form a rosary that embodies heaven meeting the human, a prayer tool that absorbs burdens and returns the soul to peace.
The antique bronze crucifix and Miraculous Medal center deepen the symbolism by rooting the rosary in the Church’s ancient visual language of endurance, humility, and divine accompaniment. The plum‑purple box completes the gift by echoing the liturgical color of penance and royalty, turning the presentation into a quiet reminder that prayer is both a refuge and a crown.
Below is the letter being sent along with the rosary. Please join me in prayer.
If you feel called to be part of this offering, I would be grateful for your help — you may use the donation form below to contribute.
Dear Katy,
You once said you “sold your soul to the devil” and maybe there’s truth in it, or maybe that came from a place of pain. Please hear this: the God of mercy and love Who dreamt you into creation and thirsted for you from the cross — He wants you still.
I know what it is to wake up in the dark — far from the One who loves me — and to feel like I’ve gone too far to ever make it back. I’ve heard those lies and I’ve felt that distance. And in the middle of it, I heard a voice I didn’t expect: the quiet call of our Mother. She came for me. And she’s calling for you too.
There are forces in this world that want to use you and reduce you into something smaller than who you are. They promise power, but leave you hollow. They want a puppet, not a person. But that is not your identity. That is not your story. Whatever tries to claim you has no true authority over you because Jesus already paid the price for your soul.
You’re not powerless. You’re not an object to be used or a story to be written by someone else. You have a will, a mind, a soul — and the freedom to choose the One who created you. There is a version of your life that only God can write — one where your voice becomes a light for all who find themselves walking back home.
The God of love wants you — not the celebrity, the daughter. Whatever you’ve done, whatever you think disqualifies you — bring it to the Church, to a priest, to Christ Himself, and you will be washed clean.
Nothing is stronger than mercy. Nothing is final, except love.
The Eucharist is calling for you. Katheryn — the one God knew before the world ever saw you. You were imagined, desired, and loved into existence by a Creator who still wants a relationship with you. The Lord of Light — Mercy Himself, wants you at the eternal banquet with us.
If you feel the pull — even faintly — follow it. Start small. Pray this rosary. Let it steady your steps. Let it cut through the noise and the lies.
Then come to confession — not as punishment, but as a reset, a clearing of the air, a breath you didn’t know you were allowed to take. And from there, communion — with God, with the saints and choirs of angels, with every soul who ever found their way out of the dark.
The Church is not a museum of the perfect. It’s the home of the returned. The door is open.
Come home to the Eucharist.
Our Lady of Mercy, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
With sincerity and in hope,
Your brother,
Joshua
